The MyState Bank Arena is the largest capacity and most versatile indoor entertainment venue in Tasmania.
As Tasmania's premier entertainment venue, the MyState Bank Arena (Derwent Entertainment Centre) has played host to many national and international live entertainment shows, corporate dinners, conventions, exhibitions and sporting events.
The Main Arena is flexible and versatile, designed to be configured in a variety of modes making it the ideal space for any event regardless of size.
Our experienced team transform the Main Arena from a live entertainment show with a capacity of 0 people to a corporate dinner for 300 people from one day to the next. An intimate setting can be created using floor to ceiling curtains and carpeted floor, while the venue can then be fully opened up for any large concert, exhibition or sporting event.
When you hire the Main Arena the entire venue is at your disposal. Access to our numerous function rooms is free with your booking including the Astley Room, Seminar Suites & Boardroom. These spaces provide the opportunity for private meetings, breakout sessions, pre-show cocktails, VIP pampering, artist meet-and-greet or whatever else you may need.
All available in-house staging, furniture, audio and visual equipment is provided free of charge and any additional requirements can be sourced at highly competitive rates. Our flexible packages ensure you receive the best possible value for your booking.
Not only does MyState Bank Arena host live performances and sporting events, but we also host corporate business events and meetings, including dinners, school graduations, conferences, cocktail parties, VIP preshow functions, product launches and exhibitions.
MyState Bank Arena is located within the Glenorchy Municipality overlooking the Derwent River, 9km North of the Hobart CBD.
The Arena is situated on the Brooker Highway allowing for easy access to onsite parking and public transport pickup and drop off. Include a google map.
Entrances
The MyState Bank Arena has two entrance points to the precinct. One from the Brooker Highway and the other from Goodwood Road onto Loyd Road.
Eastern Shore
Head across the Bowen Bridge on Goodwood Road. At the intersection of Goodwood Road and Howard Road turn right on to Loyd Road.
Northern Suburbs
Head along the Brooker Highway and turn left onto the slip lane at the traffic lights into the precinct.
Hobart and Surrounds
Head along the Brooker Highway and pass the Elwick Racecourse. Keep in the right-hand lane and at the next set of traffic lights turn right into the precinct.
Parking
MyState Bank Arena has over 1,000 car spaces over two car parks within the precinct.
Car Park West
Accessed from the Brooker Highway
Located near Entrance 1 & 2 of the Arena, with accessible parking and drop off and pick up zones.
Car Park East
Accessed from Goodwood Road and along Loyd Road
Located near Entrance 3 and the Derwent Room, with accessible parking and drop off and pick up
Please note for some events and NBL games, car park East is reserved for corporate, membership and VIP parking. Please follow the instructions of our car parking attendants.
MyState Bank Arena will have Car Parking Attendants to help facilitate the flow of traffic for most events. Please follow all instructions given by MyState Bank Arena Car Parking staff when parking your vehicle.
Additional off-site parking is available at KGV and Montrose Bay. These parking spaces are not managed by MyState Bank Arena and fees and charges may apply.
Speed Restrictions
A 10km/h speed restriction operates within the MyState Bank Arena precinct. This is to allow the safe passage of pedestrians and vehicles during the pre & post-event period.
Public Transport
Ride Share Services
The pick-up and drop off point for the ride share services, such as Uber, is located in front of Entrance 1.
We encourage guests not to order their ride share service until they have reached the pick-up point to avoid causing congestion in the pick-up area.

Taxis
On event days, there is a taxi rank available from Entrance 1.
